Wayne Rooney won Premier League 20 seasons best goal award on this day in 2012! See video!

The Premier League 20 seasons award was inaugurated to commemorate the first two seasons of the Premier League since it started in 1992 and Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney became the first recipient of the best goal award.

Wayne Rooney’s overhead kick goal against Manchester City in the 2011/2012 season was picked as the best goal in Premier League’s first 20 years of existency.

Other awards given include; best coach which was won by Sir Alex Ferguson, and Ryan Giggs won the best player award among others.
