Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed his disappointment at Leicester City’s inability to clinch a Champions League spot.
The Foxes, just like last season narrowly missed out on a Champions League position after they failed to pick up maximum points against Tottenham Hotspur on the final day of the just-concluded Premier League season.
Iheanacho said he and his teammates will use efforts in the league as well as their FA triumph as sources of inspiration next season and ensure that they pick one of the four Champions League spots.
He went on to wish everyone a great summer ahead.
“Disappointed to miss out on UCL qualification, we gave it all until the last moment. I’m proud of my team, winning the FA Cup was a dream for us. We’ll use this as motivation to be back next season! Thanks to the fans for your support this season. Have a great Summer everyone 🙏🏽”
Iheanacho finished the 2020/2021 season as Leicester City’s top scorer with 20 goals across all competitions.
