Super Eagles striker Sadiq Umar scored his first goal for Real Sociedad in more than a year in a 2-1 victory over Sevilla on Sunday.
The lanky striker has been struggling to find his feet since he returned from a very lengthy injury that saw him means a huge chunk of last season.
However, Sadiq Umar showed Real Sociedad fans what he is capable of doing on the pitch when given the opportunity as scored what could be considered a contender for La Liga Goal of the Season Award.
The Nigerian striker fired a long-range shot from over 25 yards to double the lead of the home side over Sevilla on Sunday.
Sadiq Umar used his pace and trickery to power through Sevilla’s midfield and a couple of players befire he released a thunderous right-footed strike into the roof of the net.
Said Umar’s goal against Sevilla is his first in 12 league appearances for the Txuri-Urdin this season.
The lanky striker was signed from UD Almeria last season where he scored 40 league goals in 79 appearances for the then Spanish division club.
