Super Eagles versatile defender, Calvin Bassey has revealed by he signed for Dutch champions, Ajax Amsterdam.
Baseey said everyone wwould love to come to Ajax considering it’s pedigree in the league and in European competitions.
In his words; “Why did I come to Ajax? Everyone wants to come to Ajax, it’s a big club, they play good football, play in the champions league, it’s a no-brainer”
The Super Eagles defender was unveiled today after he completed his £22m move from former Scottish champions Rangers. The deal could rise to £27m with regards to add-ons.
Calvin Bassey joined Rangers as a free agent Leicester City in 2019 for about £230,000. The defender is considered as the replacement for Argentine defender, Lisandro Martinez who has agreed to join Manchester United.
