Why Osimhen can break Yekini’s 22-year old record – Babangida

Former Super Eagles winger: Tijani Babagida believes that Victor Osimhen is capable of breaking Rasidi Yekini’s 22 year old goal record.

While speaking with popular football website: goal.com, the winger believes that records are meant to be broken and it is possible for Osimhen to break the record.

“Yekini’s done much for Nigeria & that’s why his record still stands, but this is a challenge for players like Osimhen.

“Everything is possible cos this is sports where records are always broken, so why can’t Osimhen break Yekini’s record? It is possible!”

Rashidi Yekini is Super Eagles all time highest goal scorer with 37 goals in 58 appearances while Victor Osimhen has 4 goals in 9 appearances for the Super Eagles since he made his debut for the team against Togo on the first of June.
