Why Paul Onuachu is poor for Super Eagles heading for goal king title in Belgium

In the colours of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, gangling striker Paul Onuachu has endured some scathing criticism for his less than average showing but Belgium’s authoritative newspaper www.voetbalprimuer.be is tipping him to emerge goals king at the end of the Jupiler season.

It said: “Onuachu on his way to Golden Bull

“Paul Onuachu has turned out to be a real goal getter this season. Last season he only scored nine goals, now he is already eight. Onuachu’s goals are difficult to defend. If the cross is good, no defender in our league can do much against the 2.01m giant.

“With Junya Ito and Joakim Maehle on the right flank, those excellent crosses will keep coming.

“Onuachu is therefore the absolute top favorite for the title of top scorer in the Jupiler Pro League. With Raphael Holzhauser and Daan Heymans, he remarkably has two midfielders as the first pursuers.”

Onuachu has just a goal to his name for the Super Eagles and was the butt of stinging criticism in the international friendly against Algeria on October 9.
