World Cup Qualifiers: Osimhen, Five Others Arrive Super Eagles Camp In Kigali

The Super Eagles camp for the March FIFA World Cup qualifiers away at Rwanda has opened in Kigali, and top striker Victor Osimhen is already in camp alongside five other players.

Victor Osimhen arrived in Kigali on Sunday night alongside Olympiacos defender Bruno Onyemaechi.

Other players in camp include Remo Stars goalkeeper Kayode Bankole, Genk striker Tolu Arokodare, Niger Tornadoes winger Papa Daniel, and Amad Obasogie.

Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle also arrived on Sunday night alongside his assistants as well as Remo Stars and Enugu Rangers’ coaches Daniel Ogunmodede and Fidelis Ilechukwu.

The other 18 players are expected to arrive at camp later today as training for the crucial qualifier begins.

Nigeria will take on Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on 21 March and Zimbabwe four days later in Uyo.

Osimhen will look to get his first goal of the qualification series against the Amavubi on Friday.

The Super Eagles are condemned to win after a poor start to the qualification series with three points from four matches.

Rwanda are currently top of Group C with seven points from four matches, while the Super Eagles are next to bottom. A win for Nigeria will take them to third on the table pending the results of the other teams in the group.
