“We are expecting a great game. The players
have worked extremely hard, unfortunately,
a few players joined the camp a bit late, but
the level has been extremely high,”
“The players are focused and looking forward to the Olympics. The friendly will allow us to work on a couple of things that we have practiced so far in training.
“It will also help us see some players and
look for the best combinations ahead of our
opening game against Brazil.
“I think everyone is ready. The players are
tired of playing against each other. They are ready to face a good team. We are all looking forward to the game against Canada.”
The match is expected to be played behind closed doors later today.
The Super Falcons held Canada to a goalless draw in their opening match at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The Super Falcons make a return to the Olympic Games after 16 years of absence and will contend with world champions Spain, Brazil and Japan in Group C.
