Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwanbali has Nnounced the passing away of his father.
Stanley Nwabali took to his Instagram story to announce the death of his father hours after Super Eagles one-all draw against Benin Republic.
Nwabali wrote “RIP Dad, Rest in Heaven” on his Instagram story.
The Chippa United goalkeeper didn’t reveal the nature of his father’s death.
Stanley Nwabali was in goal when the Super Eagles secured qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations an hour before the match against Benin Republic on Thursday.
The 28-year-old goalie made his debut for Nigeria in an international friendly match against Mexico in Los Angeles in 2021.
Nwabali is likely to be excused from the Super Eagles camp ahead of the last match of the AFCON qualification series against Rwanda on Monday.
