Giovanni Manna, a Napoli director has highlighted reasons why he thinks Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is better than Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen.
Manna believes that Osimhen is not on the same level with Lukaku who the club signed to replace Osimhen in the summer.
Napoli signed Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea for a reported fee of €30m after Osimhen requested to leave the club.
The Napoli director made his thoughts known to the media at a football summit held during the international football break.
“He (Lukaku) is a player who moves in the Italian market. Every week there is controversy, he has scored 4 goals and 4 assists and has a proactive attitude.
“Of course in the minds of the fans there is Victor Osimhen who has dominated the championship alone and they are two different things.”
“Lukaku cannot be discussed, he has scored 300 goals in his career.”
Romelu Lukaku has scored 305 club goals across his time at RSC Anderlecht, Inter Milan, Everton, Manchester United, Chelsea, AS Roma, West Bromwich Albion and Napoli.
While Osimhen has 122 goals during his time with VfL Wolfsburg, Charleroi, Lille, Napoli and Galatasaray.
Since his arrival at Naples, Lukaku has scored 4 goals and has provided 4 assists in 10 matches for Napoli.
However, Osimhen the reigning African Footballer of the Year appears to have done better Galatasaray with 8 goals and 3 assist in 9 matches for the Turkish champions so far.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan deal from Napoli after a turbulent summer which saw two deals to Al Ahli and Chelsea crash.
