
Victor Osimhen has undergone a successful forearm surgery days after he got injured in a Champions League fixture against Liverpool at Anfield.
Osimhen got injured following contact with Liverpool’s defender Ibrahima Konate in the first half of the round of 16 second leg fixture on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles striker spent a few days in Nigeria following the injury, during which he made some revelations about his personal life and early days with the Super Eagles.
Meanwhile, Osimhen returned to Turkey over the weekend and underwent a successful surgery performed by the team doctor, Yener Ince at the Acibadem Hospital in Istanbul.
Galatasaray announced on its X page on Monday evening wishing the player a speedy recovery before the end of the season.
Victor Osimhen is expected to be out of action for the Turkish champions for at least a month with less than eight matches to the end of the Turkish Super Lig.
Osimhen was not included in Eric Chelle’s 23-man squad for the international friendly matches against Iran and Jordan later this month.
