Super Eagles players had a not too impressive performances this weekend across Europe as football continues its gradual return.
It was a difficult night for defenders Chidozie Awaziem and Kenneth Omeruo who both played 90 minutes for Leganes against Real Valladolid. A lack of communication between Awaziem and his goalkeeper gave the away side the lead in the first half and they eventually won 1-2 to compound the problems of relegation-threatened Leganes CD.
Samuel Chukwueze’s brilliant second half performance gave the Yellow Submarines a vital three points away at Celta Vigo. The Super Eagles winger came on as a substitute but his input and involvement in the goal ensured the away team resumed the league with a win.
