Barcelona unveil Ronald Koeman as new manager

Spanish La Liga giants FC Barcelona have unveiled Ronald Koeman as their new manager.

Koeman was officially appointed Barcelona manager on Wednesday, August 19th.

Koeman will be presented as the Barcelona first-team coach at a press conference also today.

Koeman is appointed manager after Quique Setien was sacked as manager.

Setien was sacked as manager following an 8-2 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Koeman is a Barcelona legend playing for the Catalans from 1989 till1995.

He scored the winning goal for Barcelona in extra-time as they beat Italian Serie A side Sampdoria to win the 1992 Champions League.

Koeman signs as a first-team coach for two years until 30 June 2022.

He previously has coached Vitesse , Ajax Amsterdam, Benfica, PSV Eindhoven, Valencia, AZ Alkmaar, Feyenoord, Southampton, Everton and the  Netherlands national team.
