Super Eagles striker Olanrewaju Kayode on target for Sivasspor in Europa League
Super Eagles striker Olanrewaju Kayode was on target to Sivasspor as they lost 1 – 2 to Maccabi Tel Aviv in a Europa League encounter played on Thursday, October 29th.
After a goalless first half, Olarenwaju Kayode put Sivasspor in front when he converted a ball by Max-Alain Gradel in the 55th minute.
However, Sivasspor were reduced to 10 men when Samba Camara was sent off in the 67th minute.
Dan Biton converted a penalty in the 69th minute to equalize for Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Maccabi Tel Aviv then completed the comeback when Dor Peretz scored in the 74th minute which turned out to be the winner.
Kayode was substituted for Isaac Cofie as Sivasspor suffered back to back defeats in the competition.
Kayode now has two goals from two games after scoring in the opening day loss to Villarreal
He will hope to continue his good goalscoring form on Thursday, November 5 when Sivasspor welcomes Qarabag FK.
