Nigeria’s sprint queen, Blessing Okagbare has qualified for the semi-finals of the 100m event at the Tokyo Olympics.
Okagbare finished first in her preliminary race with 11.04 timing as she booked her place in the semifinals.
The 32-year-old sprinter started slowly before breezing past her opponents towards the end of the race.

In a piece of related news, Grace Neokocha also qualified for the semi-finals with a personal best timing of 11.00sec behind two-time Olympic gold medalist, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica.
