The female basketball team of Nigeria, D’Tigress have crashed out of the basketball event at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics after they suffered yet another loss.
Otis Hughley’s ladies lost their final group game 102-83 to host Japan in the early hours of Monday at the Saitama Super Arena.
D’Tigress struggled to impress with shooting outside the arc as they attempted only 11 three points field goals in all four quarters unlike the Japanese ladies who scored 19 three points in all four quarters
However, the team posted did quite well in the paint as they registered 56.9% of their two points field games.
Victoria Macaulay was the most impressive player in the team as she registered 18 points, 1 rebounds and 1 assists while Chidom Oderah scored 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists as the team bow out of the competition.
Their male counterpart, D’Tigers have also crashed out of the competition after losing all their matches as well
