Liverpool 2 Bournemouth 1: Is there hope to beat Atletico Madrid in midweek?
Liverpool returned to winning ways defeating Bournemouth 2-1 in a Premier League encounter played on Saturday, March 7th.
It was Bournemouth who struck first in the ninth minute through Callum Wilson.
Liverpool equalised through Mohamed Salah in the 25th minute while Sadio Mane in the 33rd minute put the Reds in front.
The win meant Liverpool ended a two game losing streak after defeats to Watford and Chelsea. They now need just three wins to lift the Premier League title for the first time in 30 years.
The main challenge for Liverpool is in midweek against Atletico Madrid who hold a narrow one goal advantage in the Champions League.
For Liverpool to retain their Champions League title they need to eliminate Atletico and a win against Bournemouth is the needed confidence boost.
