Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi has equalled Osaze Odemwinge’s assist record during Everton’s Premier League victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Toffees defeated Brighton 5-1 on Monday, May 8 at the Amex Stadium.
Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dwight McNeil scored two goals each and a Jason Steele’s own goal made it 5-0 for Everton. Alexis Mac Allister scored the only goal for the hosts.
The Super Eagles midfielder notched an assist in the encounter for McNeil’s first goal in the encounter of seven assists in a Premier league season for a Nigerian. Iwobi has racked up two goals and seven assists in 35 Premier League appearances this season.
Everton are 17th on the Premier League table with 32 points after 35 matches.
