AC Milan’s striker, Mario Mandzukic has donated all his March earnings to charity because he didn’t feature for the club in the entire month due to injury.
Paolo Scaroni, AC Milan’s President while appluading the gesture of the Mario Mandzukic said the money will go to Fondazione Milan, the club’s charity that raises money for children in the city.
“It’s an exceptional gesture which demonstrates the ethics and professionalism of Mario Mandzukic and his respect for Milan.
“The club will thus have the opportunity to further support the Fondazione Milan for projects in favor of young people in conditions of socio-economic and educational fragility, in which sport is a tool for social inclusion.”
Mario Mandzukic has been injured for the past six weeks after he picked an injury in Milan’s 2-2 draw away at Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League in February.
The 34-year-old is now back in the squad but he was an unused substitute in the Rossoneri’s 3-1 win away at Parma last week.
