Ademola Lookman Etches New Record With First Goal Of The Season

Super Eagles’ Ademola Lookman set a new record while playing for Atalanta in a Serie A fixture on Tuesday night.

The reigning African Player of the Year scored his first goal of the season in Atalanta’s 1- 1 draw against AC Milan at the Gewiss Stadium on Tuesday night.

Lookman powered in a left-footed strike into the roof of the net to bring La Dea back into the game after Samuele Ricci’s opener in the fourth minute.

Not only did Lookman’s goal secure a point for Atalanta, but it also made him the club’s top scorer against AC Milan.

The 27-year-old now has four goals against the Rossoneri – all scored at home.

His goal extended La Dea’s unbeaten home run against AC Milan to four matches – a testament to his influence in the fixture over the last few years.

Ademola Lookman’s first goal of the season comes after a turbulent summer as his attempted forced move to Inter Milan collapsed, which led to him being frozen out of Ivan Juric’s squad.

Lookman will now look to build on this momentum ahead of the Super Eagles’ crucial World Cup playoffs next month against Gabon.
