Ademola Lookman Registers Two Asissts In Atalanta’s Win At Monza

Super Eagles forwward Ademola Lookman played a significant role as Atalanta picked three points away at Monza in the Italian Series A.

The winger got his first start in three games and made his presence felt as he was involved in Atalanta’s attacking threats.

Lookman provided his first assist on the night from a corner as he whipped a perfect ball into the box.

Belgian midfielder Charles De Katelaere rose highest as he meet the Lookman’s cross with a thumping header to give the away side the lead late in the first half.

Ademola Lookman’s balls from the corner flank continued to threaten Monza’s defense with the start of the second half.

This time Mario Pasalic failed to direct his header towards goal as the home side took a bit of relief momentarily from Atalanta’s attacking onslaughts.

With about 17 minutes left on the clock, Lookman’s brilliant cut back on the goal line found El Bilal Toure in space and the Malian forward calmly buried tye ball into the back of the net to make it 2 nil.

Daniel Maldini scored a late consolation goal from the edge of box to half the deficit as Gian Piero Gasperini’s men secured the three points.

Ademola Lookman now has 6 goals and 8 assists in 26 league matches this season for Atalanta.
