Ademola Lookman Scores In Como’s Famous Victory Over Atalanta In Bergamo

Ademola’e Lookman continued his brilliant start to the season as he once again found the back of the net in Atalanta’s shock home loss to newly-promoted Como.

La Dea were far from their best as they post 3-2 to Cesc Fabregas’ Como at the Gewiss Stadium, Bergamo on Monday evening despite scoring first.

Como handed Atalanta their third loss of the league this season courtesy ig goals from Gabriel Strefeaza, Sead Kolasinac’s own goal and Alieu Fadera.

Davide Zappacosta gave Atalanta the lead eighteen minutes after the blast of the whistle as he took a shot from the edge of the box.

Gabriel Strefezza striked a good shot into the eight side of goal after receiving a brilliant pass from his teammate.

Sead Kolasinac’s own goal moments later put the home side under pressure as Como took a 2-1 lead which triggered the introduction of Ademola Lookman and Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado.

Gambian forward Alieu Fadera compounded the woes of Atalanta as he weaved his way past his markers before releasing a brilliant strike into the bottom-right corner to give Como a 3-1 lead.

Como thwarted Atalanta’s attempts to get back into the game for over forty minutes as they held on to their lead.

Ademola Lookman converted a late penalty in added time to reduce the deficit but Como secured a historic victory over Atalanta as the match ended 3-2.

The Nigerian winger scored his second Serie A goal of the season as he continues to lead the race for the 2024 African Footballer of the Year accolade.
