Super Eagles duo of Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen both had a goal contrbution each as Atalanta welcomed league champions, Napoli at Bergamo in the Italian Serie A matchday 13.
Lookman got back on the score sheet for Atlanta after a six-game goal draught as he restored parity in the 62nd minute.
Khvicha Kvaratskheila had earlier given Napoli the lead just a few minutes before half time. The Georgian forward rose highest im the box as he scores a header from a well-timed Giovanni Di Lorenzo’s cross.
Atalanta, however, got back imto the game after restart via a well-taken goal by Ademola Lookman.
The Nigerian forward stormes into Napoli’s box to get on the end of Hans Hateboer cross before he buried the ball imto the net from close range.
With the match heading towards the last 10 minutes, substitute, Victor Osimhen who made his return from injury found Eljif Elmas with a great pass in Atalanta’s box.
The midfielder made mo mistake as he buried the ball into the bottom right corner to make it 2-1 in favur of Napoli.
The match ended 2-1 as Walter Mazzarri began hia reign as the new manager of the defending champions with a win away from home.
The Nigerian duo are currently having a decent season even though Osimhem has been plagued with injuries in recent times. The Super Eagles striker has 6 goals and 1 assist in the league while Ademola has 4 goals with 2 assists so far.
