Doma United maintained their grip at the summit of the Nigeria Premier Football League as they forced Remo Stars to a goalless draw in Ikenne.
The Gombe State-based team came into the match on the back three consecutive wins over Akwa United, Enyimba and Plateau United.
The match was quite a one-sided affair as Remo Stars created most of the chances but failed to beat the dogged Doma United defense.
Doma United’s goalie, Kingdom Osayi was arguably the man of the match as he made tons of saves to deny Remo Stars a goal.
Samad Kadri, current top scorer, Sikiru Alimi and Dayo Ojo had more than a handful of chances to score but once again, Kingdom Osayi denied all of their efforts.
Remo Stars had 9 shots on target while Doma United had 2 after 90 minutes as the match ended in a stalemate.
The goalless draw also marks the first time Remo Stars would fail to score at the home this season having scored 11 goals in front of their home fans this season.
Doma United have now kept six consecutive clean sheets with the draw against Remo Stars as they remain top of the league with 18 points after 10 matches.
