Atalanta have sealed their qualification for the 2023/2024 Coppa Italia final courtesy Ademola Lookman’s instant impact.

Lookman came on as a second half substitute and made his presence felt under 20 minutes for Atalanta as they brushed aside Fiorentina at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo.

Atalanta came into the match with a goal deficit from the first leg but scored enough goals to overturn it and seal qualification.

Having led 2-1 going into the 90th minute, the introduction of Ademola Lookman ensured that the match didn’t go into extra time.

The Super Eagles winger scored in added time and also provided an assist for Mario Pasalic to make it 4-1 on the night for Atalanta.

Lookman connected well with a pass into the box before burying it with a low drive into bottom-right corner.

The winger found himself in space after a breathtaking counter-attack. He sends the ball to Mario Pasalic who calmly slotted the ball into the back of the net to complete the 4-2 aggregate score over Fiorentina.

Atalanta will now take on Juventus in the final on May 15 as they look to win their second title. The Bergamo-based club last won it in 1963 where they defeated Torino 3-1 at the San Siro Stadium.

For Juventus, the old lady will look forward to winning its fifteenth title. Juventus last won it in 2021 with a 2-1 over this year’s finalist.
