AFCON 2021: Moroccan Ref for Benin Republic Versus Nigeria Tie
Redouane Jiyed has been named by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as the centre referee for next month’s African Nations Cup qualifier between Benin Republic and Nigeria.
Super Eagles will conclude their group L qualification schedule for next January’s tournament in the month of March with games against Benin and Lesotho on the 27th and 30th March respectively.
The trio are not new to Nigerian football having been in charge in Nigeria’s quarter-final 2-1 win over South Africa at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The Super Eagles currently lead Group L with eight points from four matches and a draw from the final two games will seal qualification to the AFCON.
