
The Super Falcons of Nigeria and the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon finally stepped on the pitch after a two reschedulings.
The newly-renovated MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta hosted the friendly match on a rainy Tuesday evening.
It was a quite cagey affair in the early proceedings as the visitors kept ot tight at the back denying the Falcons space to operate.
However, the Super Falcons bridged past the Cameroonian defense just before the half hour mark.
Captain of the team, Rasheedat Ajibade was brought down in the box which resulted in a penalty.

The former Atletico Madrid Women striker sent the goalkeeper the wrong way to put the Super Falcons ahead.
Moments later, Ajibade doubled the lead just before the break with a tap in from a brilliant pass from Rinsola Babajide.
The Cameroonian goalkeeper had quite a busy second half as he made a couple of saves to keep the scoreline the same.
Rasheedat Ajibade’s evening ended early in the second half after picking up a knock from a tackle and was replaced by Remo Stars Ladies striker Bolaji Olamide.
The match ended 2-0 as the Super Falcons continue to prepare for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations billed for next month in Morocco.
