Albanian champions Tirana chase Nigerian youngster Udumezue

New Albanian champions Tirana have intensified their pursuit of enterprising Nigerian forward, Josiah Emmanuel Udumezue as their Nigerian coach Ndubisi egbo fortifies his team for next season’s Champions League.

Udumezue19, played the last season at Montenegro side, FC Podogrica scoring 17 goals and providing eight assists in 20 matches before sustaining an injury from which he has fully recovered and has now been training daily in Abuja with AFCON 2013 sensation Sunday Mbah.

The Nigerian who has played at Real Success, FC Zara and Steau Chisnau is eagerly awaiting lifting of the ban on international flights to return to Montenegro where FC Podogrica are waiting to tie him down to a new contract.

The club reckons they could have done better in the just concluded season if he had not come down with an ankle injury and are aware they have a tough task on their hands given the number of clubs needing his services.
