Video of the Day: Sergio Aguero wins 2007 U-20 World Cup for Argentina

On July 22nd, 2007 Argentina beat the Czech Republic 2-1 to win the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Argentina were the defending champions, Lionel Messi scored to penalties as they beat the Flying Eagles of Nigeria to win the 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Argentina and the Czech Republic both met in the group stage of the 2007 U-20 World Cup but the game ended goalless.

Both teams qualified from their group and progressed to the final of the tournament.

In the final, the first half ended goalless but the Czech Republic broke the deadlock in the 60th minute through Martin Fenin.

The lead did not last for long as Sergio Aguero equalized for Argentina in the 62nd minute.

With the game heading for extra-time, Mauro Zárate scored what turned out to be the winner in the 86th minute as Argentina emerged winner in front of 19,526 fans at the National Soccer Stadium, Toronto.

Aguero ended the tournament as the top scorer with six goals, and also won the golden ball as the best player.

It was the second time Aguero won the FIFA U-20 World Cup as he was part of the team that won in 2005.
