Alex Iwobi Powers Fulham To Victory Over Sunderland

Alex Iwobi had an impressive outing on Sunday afternoon as Fulham ended their three-game losing streak in the Premier League.

The Super Eagles midfielder was on the pitch for 88 minutes as the Cottagers breezed past Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Fulham came into the tie on the back of three consecutive losses to Manchester United, Everton and Manchester City but got back to winning with a 3-1 victory over the Black Cats.

Alex Iwobi was instrumental to the win with a goal and an assist on the afternoon.

The 29-year-old set up Raul Jimenez for the opener before sealing the win five minutes from time off a brilliant counter-attack.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare missed a penalty as Wolverhampton Wanderers fell to a 1-0 loss at Crystal Palace.

Arokodare had the chance to put the visitors ahead two minutes before the break but missed from six yards as Dean Henderson made a precise save.

The loss further compounds the misery of the Midlands club, as they remain at the bottom of the Premier League with 10 points.

In another result, Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina was on for 90 minutes as Liverpool stole a late winner over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

Ola Aina kept Virgil Van Dijk onside as Alexis MacAllister grabbed the winner in added time after his goal was earlier disallowed for offside.
