All you need to know about Nigeria Zip Code?

The Zipcode is a 6-digits number used for mailing purposes and transfer of parcels from one point to the other. ZIP (Zone Improvement Plan) only apply to the United States as they do not accept postal codes from other countries as “Zip codes”

Simply put, the Zip code is peculiar to the United States of America while the Postal Code is what is prevalent in other countries in the world.

However, the United States through its postal service (USPS) has a code synonymous with the Zip Code used in handling deliveries of other countries in the United States. So in case you want to forward a parcel to the United States from Nigeria, 0176-0000 is the code for Nigeria.

The Nigeria Zip Code which is also regarded as Postal Code is not alphanumeric, instead, it is only in digits. The Nigeria Postal Service has the sequential arrangements of the postal codes of each state or region in the country.

Each state in the country has its code. The first three digits represent the state while the last three digits represent the urban area within the state.
