The LA Lakers began their Western Conference final game of seven series on a good note as they breezed past the Denver Nuggets in a 126-114 victory.
Anthony Davies was the star performer on the night as he recorded 37 points, 10 assists and 4 rebounds as the Lakers take a 1-0 lead.
LeBron James also added 15 points and 12 assists in a keenly contested affair that saw Mike Malone’s side take the most points in two quarters – 1st and 4th.
Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray both had 21 points on the night.

It was also a night where records were set as J.R Smith becomes the 9th player with the most 3-pointers in playoff history with 292 points – the same points with late NBA legend, Kobe Bryant.
Rajon Radon of the La Lakers joined the NBAÂ top 10 players with most playoff assists – 1,025.
