Arsenal beat Liverpool 5-4 on penalties to win the 2020 FA Community Shield on Saturday, August 29th.
The Gunners reigning FA Cup champions faced off with Liverpool reigning Premier League champions in the season’s curtain-raiser.
Bukayo Saka provided the first goal of the game forĀ Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 12th minute which they maintained till the halftime break.

Takumi Minamino equalized for Liverpool in the 73rd minute with his first goal for the club.

The game did not have extra time and went straight to penalties.
Mohamed Salah, Fabinho, Takumi Minamino andĀ Curtis Jones all scored for Liverpool but Rhian Brewster missed.
While Reiss Nelson, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Cedric Soares, David Luiz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all scored for Arsenal.
