Super Falcons trio of Ashleigh Plumptre, Francisca Ordega, and Halimat Ayinde have arrived at the Super Falcons Abuja camp in preparation for the upcoming African Women Cup of Nations.
The three players arrived on Tuesday, according to the Falcons’ verified Twitter account.
With the most recent additions, there are now 28 players in the Falcons training camp.
From the 28 players currently in Abuja, Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum will choose the 23-woman team that will travel to Morocco for the AWCON.
The Siper Falcons will compete against Banyana Banyana of South Africa, Botswana, who are making their AWCON debut, and Burundi.
On July 4 in Rabat, the nine-time African champions will begin defending their championship against South Africa.
All four semifinalists in the 2022 AWCON are guaranteed spots in the 2023 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
The Super Falcons are aiming to win their tenth AWCON title in Morocco.
