Super Eagles duo of Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina will work with a new manager going into the new year following the sack of Steve Cooper.
The Welsh manager was sacked on Tuesday following a poor run of results which has seen Nottingham Forest drop to 17th on the English Premier League table.
Nottingham Forest have only managed two wins in its last 14 league matches. The most recent defeat came in a 2 nil home loss to Tottenham last Friday.

Steve Cooper helped the Tricky Trees secure promotion back to the Premier League after wining the Championship playoffs in 2022. And he also helped the club aviod the drop last season.
Nuno Espirito Santo, the former Tottenham and Wolverhampton Wanderers manager is expected to take charge at the City Ground in the days ahead.
Nottingham Forest welcome Bournemouth this weekend at home as they look to end their six-game winless run.
