Former Real Madrid player Emilio Butragueno has warned Los Blancos to be weary of Napoli talisman Victor Osimhen ahead of their highly anticipated champions league clash.
Butragueno said this while speaking to the press after both teams were drawn in Group C of this season’s UEFA champions league.
He also added that Carlo Ancelotti’s men will have togive at least their least if they are to earn maximum points over the reigning Serie A champions.
According to him:
Napoli are a very dangerous opponent, so we need to be extremely wary, because they have players of enormous talent. Yes, (Osimhen and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia) they are fantastic players, but they are Napoli players. “We must do our best to try and overcome them. We know those will be extremely difficult games.”
Napoli will hope to rely on Victor Osimhen to deliver goals for the club just he he did last season. The Nigerian striker scored 31 goals in 39 appearances for the club last season.
Osimhen became the first African to win the coveted Serie A golden boot award (Capocannoniere) after he scored 26 goals in 31 league games last season.
The 24-year-old striker has already started the new season in fine fashion with 3 goals in 2 Serie A appearances.
If Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia stays fit for Napoli, the duo could be more than a handful for Real Madrid’s defense when both teams meet at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples on October, 3rd.
