Nigerian forward Victor Boniface grabbed a brace in Bayer Leverkusen’s Bundesliga victory over Darmstadt.
Bayer Leverkusen emerged 5-1 victors against Darmstadt 98 on Saturday, September 2 at the Bay Arena.
Boniface got the first goal of the encounter in the 21st minute and Oscar Vilhelmsson levelled the scores for Darmstadt three minutes later.
Ezekiel Palacios put Bayer ahead again in the 49th minute and the goals just kept coming afterwards.
Boniface scored against 12 minutes later to complete his brace and Jonas Hoffman made it 4-1.
Adam Hlozek put the icing on the cake in the 83rd minute to complete the 5-1 drubbing.
Boniface has racked up four goals and two assists in three Bundesliga matches this season.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen are first on the Bundesliga table with nine points after matchday three.
