Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) club Bendel Insurance have won the 2023 edition of the Federation Cup.

Bendel Insurance pipped Rangers 1-0 on Wednesday, June 21 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium to win their first Federation Cup in 43 years.

The Benin Arsenals had a penalty kick after Chinnerw Ugbueze was adjudged to have handled the ball in the 18 yard box.

Both teams have several chances to score as the game went on but didn’t make the net bulge.

The trophy was Bendel Insurance’s fourth Federation Cup title.

The team embarked on a 26 match unbeaten run during the season and finished top six in the NPFL.
