Brazil cage Flying Eagles in final group match at Under-20 World Cup

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria lost to Brazil in their third Group game arthe ongoing 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina.

The match finished 2-0 on Saturday, May 27 at the Estadio Unico Diego Armando Maradona.

Carneiro Pedroso and Marquinos scored two quick fire goals in the closing stages of the first half to get Brazil the win.

There were no further goals in the second half of the encounter.

The Flying Eagles already qualified for the round of 16 after beating Italy 2-0 on Wednesday, May 24 at the Estadio Malvinas.

Nigeria finished third in Group D with six points from three games.
