With hours to kick-off, latest reports have it that Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi has tested negative for COVID-19 ahead of the match against Lesotho later today.
Alex Iwobi’s status was made know a moment ago via the verified Twitter page of the Nigeria Football Federation. The tweet reads;

Recall that the midfielder was ruled out of the match against Benin Republic last Saturday after his COVID-19 result turned out positive with few minutes to the start of the match.
However, Gernot Rohr told Journalists that he doesn’t believe in Alex Iwobi’s COVID-19 result obtained in Benin as he called for a fresh test in Lagos.
With this development, he should be available for selection later today as the Super Eagles round up their AFCON qualification series against Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
