Denmark midfielder, Christian Eriksen has been discharged from the Rigshospitalet after a successful surgery.
Eriksen lost consciousness as he slumped on the field in Denmark’s Euro2020 opener against Finland in the 10th minute at the Parken Stadium last Saturday.
The football world flooded social media with goodwill messages as they prayed for his speedy recovery.
The Danish Football Federation have now confirmed that Eriksen has now been discharged from the hospital and he visited his teammate at their training base.
The Inter Milan midfielder also sent a message to the players and fans all over the world for their messages while he was at the hospital.
“Thank you for the amazing number of greetings – it has been incredible to see and feel. The operation went well and I am doing well under the circumstances. It was really nice to see the guys after the fantastic game they played last night. No need to say I will be cheering on them on Monday against Russia.”
Denmark are at risk of crashing out of the competition after losing their opening two matches against Finland and Belgium.
