Sports Minister Senator John Enoh has confirmed that the camping allowances of Nigerian athletes heading to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games has been disbursed.
Senator John Enoh confirmed that payments has been made to both the local and foreign athletes with three days to the start of the games.
He also added that adequate preparation of athletes is a top priority and the government is committed to providing the necessary suuport to ensure they excel.
“Ensuring our athletes arewell-prepared and motivated is a top priority. We are committed to providing all necessary support to help them
excel on the global stage,” he said.
“Our athletes have shown incredible dedication and resilience, and we believe they are ready to make the nation proud.”
Over 80 Nigerian athletes will compete in 12 different sports at the games which kicks off later this week.
