Breaking! Real Madrid agree €100m fee to sign Jude Bellingham

Real Madrid football club have agreed to a €100m transfer fee with German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund to sign talented English midfielder, Jude Bellingham. European football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed this in a series of tweets on Wednesday. According to him, the total amount of the deal including bonuses is pegged at €103m. However, ad ons could amount to about 30% of the transfer fee.

Jude Bellingham will sign a six-year contract with Real Madrid which will see him remain at the club until the summer of 2029. The 19-year-old central midfielder will undergo a medical in Marid later this week as he becomes the club’s first signing of the summer following the departure of club legend Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio, and Mariano Diaz.

Jude Bellingham joined Borussia Dotmund in the 2020/2021 season from Birmingham City and immediately estblished himself as one of the best players in the league as he won the VDV Bundesliga Newcomer of the year in his first season. He also made it into the Bundelisga Team of the Season in the 2021/2022 season. Belligham was named Bundesliga Player of the Year for the 2022/2023 season.

The Birmingham City Acadmey graduate in his three seasons at Borussia Dortmund scored 24 goals and provided 25 assists in 132 appearances. He was instumental in the 2020/2021 season as helped Borussia Dortmund beat current Champions Leipzig 4-1 to win the title.

Unfortunately, Jude Bellingham, the Stourbridge-born midfielder could have ended his career at Dortmund with a Bundeliga title but they narrowly lost the title on the final day of the season in dramatic fashion to Bayern Munich who have now won the title for the 11th consecutive time since 2013.
