Burnley’s Matej Vydra has won the February Premier League Goal of the Month award announced on Wednesday, March 18th.
Vydra goal which was the second for Burnley in their 2-1 win away against Southampton on Saturday, 15th of February 2020 emerged the winner.
Speaking to the Burnley website Vydra who is 27-years-old and from the Czech Republic stated that he is delighted to have won the award especially after his coach Sean Dyche was named Premier LeagueManager of the Month of February.

He said, “I’m delighted and honoured to have won this.
“It was a special goal for me after waiting so long and, more importantly, a big goal for the team.
“I’ll remember it for a long time and hopefully there will be many more to come in a Burnley shirt.”
Vydra beat goals from Steven Bergwijn of Tottenham against Manchester City, Richarlison for Everton against Crystal Palace, Marcos Alonso for Chelsea against Tottenham, Enda Stevens for Southampton against Brighton, Anthony Martial for Manchester United against Watford, Mason Greenwood for Manchester United against Watford and Jamal Lewis for Norwich City against Leicester City to be crowned the winner.
