Christopher Musa Danjuma, the Head Coach of Nigeria’s U20 girls, has announced the squad for their upcoming FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup second-round, first-leg qualifying match against Tanzania. The team comprises three goalkeepers, six defenders, five midfielders, and five forwards.
After more than two weeks of training in Abuja, the quarter-finalists of the 2022 FIFA World Cup will face Tanzania at the Azam Sports Complex in Dar es Salaam on Sunday at 3 pm Tanzania time (1 pm Nigeria time). Both teams will meet again at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Sunday, 19 November.

The aggregate winner of these matches will progress to the final round of the qualification process for the 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, which is scheduled between January 12-14, 2024, and February 19-21, 2024.
Despite participating in every edition of the competition since its inception in 2022, the Falconets have yet to secure a victory.
They came close to becoming the first African nation to win the tournament in 2010 but were defeated by the host nation, Germany, in the final.
