Samuel Chukwueze’s potential move to AC Milan this summer is about to hit a rock with the former Serie A champions preparing an alternative should the deal to land the Super Eagles winger eventually collapse.
AC Milan according to reports are interested in signing Danish winger Gustav Isaksen who currently plays for FC Midtjylland in the Danish League.
Gustav Isaksen who scored 22 goals, provided 7 assists in 41 appearances for FC Midtjylland last season, will cost AC Milan only 12 million euros which is less than half of Villareal’s asking price for Samuel Chukwueze.
Villareal have been firm on their 35 million euros price tag for Chukwueze but AC Milan have not offered anything close to the price even though negotiations have been on for weeks.
Samuel Chukwueze’s contract with Villareal expires next year and the winger has refused to sign an extension with the club as he seeks a move away from Spain.
The 24-year-old winger scored 13 goals, registered 12 assists in 40 appearances for the club last season. He was named La Liga’s African Player of the Year as he wrapped up a brilliant campaign in the league.
