College student suspended for not greeting President Buhari in Maiduguri!

A student of the College of Nursing and Midwifery has been suspended by the institution because she failed to greet President Buhari during his one-day visit to the Maiduguri last week.

President Buhari visited the city to meet with troops of Operation Hadarin Kai in response to growing security concerns in the northeast region.

In a suspension letter seen by The People’s Gazette, the Provost of the College suspended the student for disobeying the executive order of welcoming the President to the state.

The letter read;

“You are hereby suspended from the college for one week with effect from today 21st of June 2021 for disobedience of executive order to welcome the President of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari GCFR, GCON (on 17th of June 2021)”

The student, who was suspended on the 21st of June was asked to return to the school on the 28th with her parents or guardian for the suspension to be lifted.
