Naira Marley Visits NDLEA Chairman, Declares Support For War Against Drug Abuse

Popular Nigerian street pop singer and songwriter, Azeez Fashola otherwise known as “Naira Marley” has declared his support for war against drug abuse in the country.

The controversial Nigerian singer did this when he visited the chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Buba Marwa in Abuja on Thursday.

In a video obtained online, Naira Marley advised his fans: ‘Marlians” as well as Nigerian youths to stop doing drugs because it is detrimental to their well-being.

Naira Marley said: “..I will like to talk to my fans, the “Marlians” and Nigerian youths to stop doing drugs because it is not good for your well-being. Let us substance in any form, I have keyed in to this campaign with NDLEA to stop drug abuse in the streets”

The controversial singer was accompanied to the office of the agency by members of his management as they showed their support against the illicit use of drugs among Nigerian youths.

Naira Marley, Zlatan Ibile and four others were arrested in May 2019 in connection with money laundering and internet fraud.

Naira Marley’s support for drug abuse comes a surprise to many Twitter users who shared their opinions on the development.
