Cristiano Ronaldo ranks higher than Messi among World Most Admired Men 2020. See full list 👇

Cristiano Ronaldo, according to a study carried out by You Gov recently is the sixth most admired man in the world behind the likes of former President of the United States, Barack Obama, Tech multi-billionaire, Bill Gates, Chinese President, Xi Jiping among others.

Consequently, the five-time Ballon D’or winner is the most admired athlete in the world while his eternal rival Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi ranks second but the eleventh most admired man in the world.

Ronaldo ranks higher than Messi in 32 of the 42 countries and territories surveyed and the Portuguese captain has led his rival in the last three global studies.

Only two other sportsmen made the list; NBA legend, Michael Jordan and Indian cricketer, Virat Kohli

According to You Gov a global public opinion and data company, this year’s study was carried out recently and it is the largest ever with more than 45,000 people in 42 countries interviewed before the compilation of the list.

You Gov also added that the results were calculated from the combination of responses to two basic questions – whether a respondent admires the figure at all or not and whether the figure is the one the respondent admires the most.
