Nigeria’s senior men’s basketball team, D’Tigers will begin preparations for the forthcoming Afrobasket championship today in Oakland, California., United States.
This development was confirmed in a post via the official Twitter page of the Nigeria Basketball Federation.
The list of invited players is yet to be released but it is expected that the bulk of the players that represented the team at the just concluded Tokyo Olympics should be on the list.
The championship is billed for the 24th – 5th of September at the newly-built Kigali Arena, Rwanda.
D’Tigers are in group C alongside Ivory Coast, Mali, and Kenya and the team will begin their quest to win their second title against Mali on the 25th of August.
